A customer brought in a blade cassette from a tyre shredding and recycling machine. It had past its best and needed replacing. The machine manufacturer had quoted a delivery of over 4 weeks, no good when your plant needs to be running. Simple solution, draw it, order some material and make it, estimated time 5 days. The only problem was our Hurco VM20i only has a 1000mm bed, no worries, split it in half and make it in 2 parts. this in turn actually made it easier to install.
